The restaurant is located directly opposite the Valmiera Drama Theatre building, it has become a nice tradition among locals and visitors to come to the restaurant before the show. Many still remember the legendary director Oļģerts Kroders, who used to frequent this place. The location of the Restaurant is associated with the old Town Hall of Valmiera, which is where its name comes from.

The Restaurant is a family-run business with cosy interiors and delicious dishes. The generous meals are made from local products, buying them from Valmiera’s reliable suppliers on the basis of trust formed over the years. In the summer, own tomatoes, cucumbers, greens and sprouts are used in the dishes. There is a variety of blended or clear broth soups, hot and cold soups, various meat and vegetable dishes, with delicious desserts. The speciality of the Restaurant is zander fillet from Burtnieki Lake. The cook creates elegant gastronomic compositions for each dish in specially selected tableware, where each sauce droplet, herb branch, burnt garlic or caramel stalk is in its well-thought-out place, delighting the eyes and belly.

In warm weather, you can enjoy the Restaurant’s summer garden. The tables are placed by the ancient Hanseatic stone wall, painted with historical images and fragments from old maps. In the summer garden you can enjoy a wide and varied selection of seasonal dishes, including a variety of country produce and grilled dishes.
